SYED JAVED HASSAN

Syed Javed Hassan has over 25 years of experience in leadership roles. He has served as the CEO and Advisor for The Hunar Foundation, a leading private sector Vocational training organization in the country.
Prior to that he was CEO with Institute of Financial Markets (IFMP), where he developed international standard certifications courses that are now mandatory for professionals in the capital markets in Pakistan.
Prior to the senior role in the non-profit sector, Javed Hassan has had extensive experience in Investment Banking and Insurance. He was CEO at both IGI investment Bank and IGI Insurance in Pakistan. In Hong-Kong he was head of Insurance research with SwissRe-FPK and was lead analyst for international IPOs of several Chinese Insurance companies. He has over ten years working experience in London as an investment banker and management consultant.
Javed completed his Bachelors in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London where he also did his Masters in transportation. He also has an MBA from London Business School.
Javed is currently Chairman of the National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC).
