Short Courses

Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence (AI) focuses on creating and training machines that find solutions to problems which normally require human intelligence. Artificial Intelligence systems can be powered by machine learning, deep learning, or operating rules. Being a relatively new field, AI can optimise tasks and reduce human error. This short introductory course run at state-of-the-art computer labs will provide a fundamental understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), what can be achieved with it today, and how to articulate ideas related to AI solutions and its applications inside an organisation. The course is theoretical and aims at developing the learner’s mindset and skills set towards AI and how it is understood and applied. The vital principle that the course embraces is a holistic, inclusive, and progressive development in immersive ways by problem-solving, creative thinking, and critically analysing data.

Intake: Every month
Eligibility Criteria: Should be well-versed with basic Computer Skills.

Blockchain Fundamentals:

The future is upon us and it looks like nothing we have ever seen before. Technologies like 5G, IoT and blockchain are opening new use cases for the science and tech community daily.  The emergence and interconnectivity of these technologies will allow us to create things we cannot even imagine yet. This specialisation course focuses on demystifying the blockchain technology by helping you understand the foundational constructs, benefits, and opportunities of blockchain technology. You will be prepared to weigh the risks and challenges as you consider implementing this technology within your organization. The course is primarily theoretical with an elementary, introductory simulation of a controlled lab blockchain solution. It aims to assist non-technical or technology-focused professionals in explaining what blockchain is, how it works, and why it disrupts the industry. It allows them to describe fundamental design principles for blockchain implementations, its challenges, and limitations. The intense focus that the course embraces is a holistic, inclusive, and progressive development in immersive ways by problem-solving, creative thinking, and critically analysing data.
