Eligibility Criteria General

Academic Performance

Have secured at least 60% marks in the last exam (Matric, Intermediate, Graduation, or equivalent).

Must belong to a family with a monthly income less than PKR 60,000 (some relaxations for government employees in Grade 1–4).

Must be enrolled in a full-time registered educational institution (public or private).

Hold a Punjab domicile (PEEF also has special quotas for students from other provinces, AJK, GB, and FATA through nomination).

Scholarships are also reserved for: Orphans Children of government servants in Grade 1–4 Students belonging to minorities Special/disabled students Children of civilians martyred in terrorist attacks

Level 6 Professional Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Level 6 Professional Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management provides an industry-relevant postgraduate academic route for those who want to build towards a bachelor's degree qualification or improve their career progression.

This programme is CTH's ultimate undergraduate level award and has been expressly designed to provide almost all of the learning provided by a British university bachelor’s degree programme in hospitality and tourism. In fact, graduates of this programme are able to convert their award into a recognised British university bachelor’s degree from Derby University simply by completing an additional three units that can be studied online. The programme is designed as 120 Credit Value (CV) qualification in international Hospitality and Tourism management, covering all the key management skills required for a management career in the sector. Students will attend a course of study of not less than 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) comprised of a mixture of tuition and guided self-study.

All applicants must be individually pre-approved for admission by CTH and be 22+ years old, have good English (to at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) and possess high level academic study skills (Harvard referencing and criticality).

Admission to this programme is open to those students who have completed an appropriate Level 5 qualification in a relevant subject, such as a CTH Level 5 Advanced Diploma, or a relevant HND.

Applicants should be at least 19+ years of age, have at least English IELTS 5.5 level (or equivalent) and possess high level academic study skills (Harvard referencing and criticality).

Progression: Holders of the CTH Level 6 Professional Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management may apply for direct entry into the Final Year (Year 3 / Level 6 Top-up) of the following University of Derby programmes:

BA (Hons) in International Hospitality Business Management (Online) with exemptions for three units, 50% of the programme* BSc (Hons) in Business & Management (Online) with an exemption for one module – Strategy in the Global Marketplace

Level 7 Executive Diploma in International Hospitality and Tourism Management

The Level 7 Executive Diploma in International Hospitality and Tourism Management provides an industry relevant postgraduate academic progression route for those who want to build on their bachelor's level qualification or improve their career progression.

This university endorsed international qualification is appropriate for both hospitality and tourism graduates and experienced hospitality and tourism managers without a first degree. It also provides an effective route for graduates in other fields who wish to make a career change into the growing hospitality and tourism sectors. This is a 360 Guided Learning Hour programme where students are required to demonstrate interpersonal, self study and research and presentation skills throughout the qualification. Assessments are developed to encourage skills that will provide students with a very strong foundation for further advancement in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Students can achieve the Guided Learning Hours in a combination of face to face classroom interactions, attending seminars, visits to hotels, self study and group study, as well as independent study and research work. The postgraduate Level 7 Executive Diploma assessment methods have been designed to enable students to demonstrate Level 7 outcomes for this level of qualification. Given the broad and highly varied nature of the hospitality and tourism industry, candidates will need to demonstrate the higher-level skills and qualities specified in the Level 7 outcomes within a non-homogeneous vocational context.
